HARLK3I PROSPECTS. Entries to the twelve Harlem Jockey Club stakes which will close at midnight Wednesday have been arriving at a rato which warrants the beliof that the number will exceed those of last yoar. This statement was made yesterday by John Condon, who said that each mail brongbt its quota and that Secretary Nathaneon had gathered a great number according to advices received from him. He has been making the rounds of the southern training grounds of the thoroughbreds, and .was at Louisville yesterday on his way home. Mr. Nathanson is expected at his desk on Monday. In a message received from him yesterday he said he had received the greatest encouragement in the belief that the Harlem entry list this season would run ahead of that of last yoar, when the track led the western associations in the number of nominations to stakes. He said ho had received the greatest numbar at Nashville, having practically everything in sight at that great horse center. Mr. Nathanson declares ho had every reason for the hope that the Harlem National Handicap, the new 0,000 stake, will in a few Eeasons be one of the groat fixtures of the American turf.
