Rim Rock forced the pace to the stretch and Bullmans vigorous finish saved him second place. Alaria made .up much ground and finished with a rush. Parsifal was tiring at the end. Johnny McCartey has improved and is worth remembering from now on. July Gip is best in heavy going at the Oakland track.
