Alaria, crowded out at the start, went around the field and gradually improved her position and finished out the last quarter with a rush and won going away. Assessment, lucky and with clear sailing, was prominent throughout, but swerving all over the track at the end. The Miller finished fast and is at his best. Rasp, pocketed and interfered with repeatedly closed up a gap in going he disliked and was best. Fondo made up ground throughout. Dollie Wiethoff tired in the final drive. Cherries went a good half. Won easily; second handily, Rowena beat the barrier and led throughout leaving the result never in doubt. Lady Laurie was a good filly in this race and finished fast on her own courage. Amberita went wide on the turn and ran much improved and finished fast. Oro Rose runs like a stayer and was wearing the others down at the end. Libbie Candid, away poorly, raced into prominence and then quit. Febette has been highly tried. Scratched 37759 Elizabeth E., 106; Stellarius, 110. Elfonse wrenched his ankle at the post and aDpeared lame, but ran a fast, game race. He led hard held for seven furlongs when he commenced to fail and under punishment barely lasted out. Galanthus, favored by the cuppy going, received a lucky start and was always a close contender finished strongly and would have won in another stride. Position, nearly left closed up a tremendous gap and was best. I. O. U. is strictly a mudlark and went well. Maraschino failed to stay and pulled up sore. Elfonse, show. 1 to 4. Won handily; second driving. Goldone practically forced the pace throughout and taking a clear lead in the stretch won with something in reserve. Expedient closed up a tremendous gap in the last half and ran a great race. Bonnie Lissak, lucky and skillfully ridden, ran unexpectedly well. Greyfeld appeared sore and probably found the track a trifle hard, but received a weak and incapable ride. Tufts made up ten lengths in the last quarter. Blessed Damozel was probably short and also handicapped by the cuppy going. Should improve. Katie Walcott failed to stay. Tizona- ran a bad race. Scratched 377503Canejo, 104. Goldone, show, 6 to 5. Jim Hale, suddenly improved, waited on the pacemaker to the stretch where he went to the front without great urging and was best. Hainault displayed his usual early speed, but does not stay except in the mud. Star Cotton easily disposed of the others. Albert Enright tired after following he pace for six furlongs. Royalty ran a very bad race and though hard ridden, he was hopelessly outrun. Velma Clark, crowded at the start, trailed the fast pace to the stretch where she closed up with a rush. Flamero was always prominent and drew clear in the stretch an apparent winner, but succumbed to Velma Clarks rush at the end. Tyranus finished fast. Yellowstone is improving and worth remembering. Jim Gore II. forced the pace for the first half and failed to stay. Oriana was excessively used m the first part of the race and received a bad ride. Evander tired after a good half.
