Ravelena received a lucky start, forced the pace throughout and came away right at the end in game fashion under a vigorous ride. Queen Modred was sore before the race, got away well and displayed a superior turn of speed, appeared like winning easily a furlong out, but under a bad rider swerved into defeat when he drew his whip. Amberita was favored by the stiff going and ran a good race. Lady Laurie failed to stay and can do better. Libbie Candid, crowded at the start and nearly left, closed up a big gap. Pa-chuca was in the deep going and was forced out of position in the early stages. Scratched 37771 Oro Rose, 112. . Ravelena, show, evens. Queen Modred, show, 3 x to 5. r Amberita, show, o 3 to 1. Deutschland appeared sore, but particularly favored by the stiff going came away decisively in the last quarter after forcing the pace from the start in the worst part of the track. Princess Titania displayed brilliant speed and stamina on a track not to her liking. Lady Kent was reserved in the first half, closed up strongly in the stretch and ran a surprisingly good race Matt Hogan tired badly after a hard early effort to outrun the winner. Water Cure was hopelessly outrun and had no chance at the distance and m the going. Deutschland, show, 3 to 10. Princess Titania, show, 3 to 10. Lady Kent, show, 6 to 5. Matt Hogan, show, out. Sea Lion forced the pace throughout and was only cantering in the last quarter. Greyfeld fell away unexpectedly at the end of six furlongs and then came again very fast in the last sixteenth. The race should improve him. Pat Morrissey ran the best race shown by him this season. Sunello was closing strongly in the stretch. I. O. U. went well throughout, but was outclassed. Warte Nicht, lucky and skillfully ridden, forced the pace from the start, drawing away decisively when straightened out in the stretch run. Byronerdale, away slowly, worked a rough journey in the worst going and was interfered with at the stretch turn, then came along on the outside in the last furlong and finished with a rush and was probably best. Swiftwing ran a surprisingly good race and held on gamely after excessive early use. Impetuous evidently disliked the going and fell away after going a half.
