Lady Vashti got off well, showed the most speed throughout and was best ridden. Kittle Cut a Dash ran well and did her best. Dolly Gray appeared like the winner in the stretch, but tired near the end. Deerhunter ran a winning race from where he got off. In Doubt showed speed. Scratched— 39108 Vineland, 95.. Bill Knight was taken back , at the start and raced outside of his field and ran ten lengths farther than anything in the race and should have won. Cast Iron ran in greatly improved form, was taken the short way, came fast in the stretch and was given a strong finish. Pathos was cut off twice and weakly ridden and allowed to lag early, was then forced through a small opening in the last sixteenth and allowed to flounder at the finish. At the weights he was much the best. Neversuch ran in much improved form. John Bull ran his race. Kunja by no means ran her race and can do much better. Elastic ran one of his good races, was perfectly handled and ran over the pacemaker in the last furlong and won easing up. Santa Ventura ran her race, showed much early speed and had no mishaps. Nickey D. hardly ran his race, but showed signs of soreness when going to the post and pulled up lame. Louis Wagner was poorly ridden and ran a dull race. Golden Glitter got off well in her stride and displayed speed, but tired in the stretch. Oudenarde , ran a good race for his first time out this year. Crime ran well but tired at the end. Socapa ran a good race from a bad beginning. . Eugenia S was given an easy race and will do better.
