Two Lick displayed a lot of early speed and found the track exactly to her liking. Golden Cottage was easily the best of the others, but he was weighted too heavy to beat the winner. Sir Gallant was favored with light weight, ran a good race, but was doing his best at all stages. Bank Street was always outrun. Reservation was under restraint and laid out of contention too long, but was going strongly at the end. Soothsayer tired fast after going well for the first mile.
