Fair Lady Anna revelled in the going showed the most speed all the way and was never in trouble. Rossmond ran green and began slowly, but closed a big gap and finished fast. Amorous had to go all around his field to get up and finished gamely. Louise Collier tired. Duchesse Hanna ran well to the stretch. Won easily; second driving. Onress began slowly, but made up ground rapidly, wore the leaders down while rounding the far turn and, finishing fast, won going away. Preakness showed the most early speed, but tired in the final furlong when put to a drive. Bugle Horn came fast through the stretch and finished gamely. Segraves ran a fairly good race. Bonner rated Antolee for the first half, then came around on the outside at the turn into the homestretch and his mount outgamed Nearest in the final drive. Nearest was much, used in racing Annu into submission in the first half and tired perceptibly when the deciding drive came. Chickadee, as usual, began slowly and tired badly when it came to a hard drive. Annu quit badly. Honeybrook showed improvement. Scratched 42613 Frank Mc, 100. Won easily; second driving. Ceylon led from start to finish, was much favored by the going, fenced cleanly and won easing up. Red Car put up a good performance, was a contender throughout and, after forcing Falella to exhaustion, gamely withstood Faraday Jr.s challenge, then came fast at the end and got third place in the last stride. Archibald took no chances with Charawind and probably the jumps were not stiff enough for the horse. Sea Pirate fell at the second jump and Creolin at the third. Domino Whist was well ridden, at home in the going, caught Eleata tiring in the last sixteenth and outgamed her to the winning line. Eleata showed the most early speed, but tired at the finish under pressure. Geranium met with no mishaps and ran .her race, but is best on a dry track. Voila finished fast. Nettie E. showed her usual speed and quitting proclivities. Scratched 42609 Eva Clair, 106. Overweights Eleata, 1 pounds; Nettie E., 1; Harka, 4. Domino Whist, show, 4 to 1. Eleata, show, 1 to 2. Curate was the best of the others and, after racing Goo Goo into submission, held second place safe. Goo Goo showed speed, but tired in the last three-eighths. C Rosenfeld quit badly.
