Chanterelle showed the most speed throughout, liked the going and was never in trouble. Drummond ran well in going she does not like. She had to be hard ridden in the stretch, however, to stall off the rush of Grand Marais. The latter finished fast and resolutely. Binehelio tired in the stretch run. Ruth Parrish ran a good race, began slowly and had to go all around her field to get up, but finished fast and outgamed Miss Mollie when it came to the final drive. The latter tired when put to a hard drive. Belltoone showed speed, but tired in the stretch run. Wreath of Ivy and Bird Pond got away aH tangled up. Overhand went well in the stretch. Rough and Tumble had to go all around the field to get up to the leaders and was used up in racing with Armorer. The latter showed early speed, but tired in the last furlong. Frank Mc showed improvement and hung on longer than in his recent races. Moor was done after the first five furlongs. Lady of the West was dull of speed. The winner, entered to be sold for 00. was run up to ,500 by R. McMillan, trainer for Gorman and Bauer, but was bid in by G. W. Poole, acting for E. Corrigan.
