Lev Dorsey ran along with the leaders to the turn into the homestretch, came wih a rush in the last furlong and was going away at the finish. Ivernia began slowly and had to go all around her field to get up and was under a drive all of the last furlong. Marco came fast at the end and outgamed Tristesse. The latter rushed through her field while rounding the far turn and then tired. Circus Girl and Spec tired. Tioga began slowly and had to go through next to the inside rail in the deep going to get up, but wore her field down in the first quarter and went to the front when rounding the far turn, then had to be hard ridden at the end to stall off Belle Mahone. Belle Mahone was on the outside all the way, came very wide at the turn into the homestretch and tired after getting to the leader. Goody Twoshoes came again at the end and outgamed Irene Mac. The latter moved up fast while rounding the far turn, but tired in the last furlong. Filly Deck seemed unable to extend herself in the going. Won easily; second driving. Misanthrope held his field safe all the way, rushed to the front in the first furlong, set his own pace and was well in hand for the entire trip. Wreath of Ivy was under a drive all of the last quarter and just managed to get up in time to nose out Town Moor. The latter ran well but tired in the last sixteenth and the race should improve him. Louis Kraft was handicapped by the going. Tamarix could not extend himself in the mud. Hobsons Choice tired in the last quarter and was not persevered with. Scratched 43021 Rainland, 116; 4296GJ. P. Rainland was off well in motion, but was outrun for the first quarter, but moved up fast at the turn out of the backstretch, was then cut off and knocked back and lost several lengths at this point. He came again when he found an opening at the turn into the homestretch and finished fast next to the inside rail, was well in hand at the end and going away from his field. Exclamation ran well and outgamed Morning Star when it came to the final drive. The latter showed the most early speed, but tired when the stretch drive came. Duncan lost ground by going wide at the turn into the homestretch, but finished fast and -would have been third in a few more strides. Trocadero was much used, in setting 1 the pace and tired when the final drive came. Siddons dropped back in the first half and Helgesen never made a move on hm until rounding the far turn, then came very fast in the last furlong and was catching the first two at every stride.
