The Major was in favorably at the weights, came fast in the stretch and was under restraint at the end. Fustian received a poor start, but made up a lot of ground and finished fast. Buttons ran an excellent race at tho weights, but labored in the stretch under a drive. Cloten closed a big gap after being oft poorly. Elsie L. was a sharp contender to the stretch, then tired. Paul Clifford quit early. Ice Water showed speed, but tired. Magic Flute finished fast. The Bowery showed speed, but tired badly. . Half Holiday is worth remembering and ran a good race .Tonawanda finished well. Mary Aud quit badly.
