J. F. DONOHUES PASADENA HANDICAP. Canters Away from Molesey, the Favorite— The Half-way Stage at Ascot. Los Angeles. CM., January 10. — The half way stage in the meeting of the Los Angeles Jockey Club was reached today. This was the forty-fifth day at Ascot Park, and with it came one of the best cards and largest crowds of the season. The feature race was the Pasadena handicap for three-year-olds and up at one and one eighth miles, with a net value to the wiuner of ?1,*S0. Nine of the best horses here faced the barrier with the Bonnet horse Molesey a BsiM favorite. The unexpected happened, however. .1. 1". Donoliue. with odds of as good as 10 to 1 against him. won in a canter after trailing his opponent for seven furlongs. Molesey loomed up dangerously an eighth out. but had to be content with second place. Yon Tronip, in an easy spot, made good in the third race and Confessor, running; consistently, took care of other sprinters in the fifth.
