Banuatyne, away in a tangle, had to go all aroti.d the others on the first turn and dashed into the lead, but tired slightly near he end and had to be hard ridden to outlast Washakie for second place. The latter was gaining steadily and tinished fast. Billy Bowlegs was away in a good position and ran well for three furlongs, then tired. Robert Eagan ran in improved form with blinkers on.
