CORRIGANS HORSES GETTING WELL. Edward Corrigaa was here over Sunday on boat. tiess and "Tisiting" his horses ai Hawthorne. Mr. Corrigaa has alaeteea horses at the Cicero tr.uk ami for a fortnight or more he was somewhat worried about them. They are mostly two year olds and caught distemper in the south, where they were racing. The air at Hawthorne suits them and they are coming around all right. They are BOW trotting and cantering. Aside from four of Hennesseys these are the only horses at the track. Superintendent Thomas Loonan has the Hawthorne plant in g.xid condition. The buildintis are all in order and the grounds have received as much attention as When racing was in vogue. Right now a good horse could run a mile in 1:42 or 1:T1 over the track, ami with three or four days work • the course could be made ready for racing.
