ELM RIDGE TRACK O BE SOLD. Kansas City, Mo., November 1. Upon the petition of Edward Corrigan, of Chicago, and George Witt, of Memphis, Tenn., as principal stockholders, the Uniteel States District Court at Kansas City, has appointed James T. Halpiu receiver to take charge or and sell the Elm RIelge track of the Kansas City Jockey Club and Fair Association. Halpin is a relative of Mr. Corrigan. Kansas City is growing rapidly and the property is worth from two and a half to four times what -it cost, being nominally valued now at 00,000 and has been ordered to be sold by the courL The outstanding bonds are of the face value ob 50,000 and the sale will, it is expected, pay tbern off with a handsome profit in addition. Elm Ridge was a fast ami well-appointed race track, but its usefulness as such vanished when Governor Folk brought about the destruction of racing in Missouri.
