BOOKMAKERS AT OAKLAND. On the opening day at Oakland there were twenty eight bookmakers doing business as against twenty three on the first day last year. Those that drew in were Melbourne Club, Golden Gate, Bain Chili. Broadway, Boston, Sheepshead Bay, Sam Sheen, Goldtield, Oakland, Montana, Emeryville, Berkeley, Colonial, Central, Ingleside, Pelican, John D. Miller, Stuyvesant, Jackman, Harlan, J. M. Lyon, Martin and Co., Engstroni, Tokio, St. Louis, Arizona, Bohemia and New York.
