NICOL CONTEMPLATES RETIRING. It is reported that jockey Dave Nicol has decided to quit riding at the close of Uie winter season at New Orleans. He is reported as saying that the past year has been the best he has experienced in the saddle, but that he would be forced to quit on account of increased weight. Ho is contemplating the establishment of a stable of his own, but will -probably spend next season, it he retires, watching the races from the grandstand.
