Serenade, away slowly and suffering fiom interference on the first turn, ran a good race and might have won with an even send-off. Alami:i. also away in a forward position, st.iyed well and finished fast and gamely. Chalice, showing improvement, was prominent all the way. Miss Snack ran into prominence from a fast lieginning. but bore out in the slreteh run. Miss Hapsburg ran well and would have lieen closer up witli a stronger rider. John Carroll was steered wide on the first twin and hnni|ied sharply into Pedro, forcing the lalter wide, seemed to sulk after the bumping and ran a bad race. Zipango was always outpaced. Granada was responsible for some of the crowding which caused Adesso 10 fall. Halbard was interfered with by Adesso when he ran wide.
