At the annual meeting of the Montreal Jockey Club held last Saturday, it was announced that the first season had resulted in profit, both spring and fall meetings showing a balance on the right side, despite the fact that 6,000 had been distributed in stakes and prizes. Sir Montagu Allen was re-elected president, with the old board and executive. The date of the spring meeting was fixed from June 6 to June 20. giving thirteen days of racing.
