Tlic Slicker, away well and given a good ride, forced the early pace and. wearing Kenmare Queen down In the last few strides, won drawing away. Kenmare Queen got into the lead at once and, setting a fast pace, ran a good race and stayed gamely In the final drive. Edwin L. was always prominent and had no mishaps. Romp closed a big gap. although going wide, and finished fast. Columbus, favored at the start and clear of interference, was prominent all the way. Yoseka showed speed, but tired in the last sixteenth. Tyler refused to extend himself fully and ccn do much better. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. Scratched — 73330 John Montgomery, 103. Profitable fenced well and, running to his best form, came with a rush near the end and out stayed Buckmau for second place. Buckman was a forward contender to the last jump, where he liegan tiring. W. K. Slade tired after fencing well and showed speed for the first seven jumps. Gait l«»t his rider at the fifth jump and Ralph Reese went out of the course at the same jump.
