MEXICAN DERBY IS FOR MEXICAN HORSES The directors of the Jockey Club of Mexico City have settled the longpending dispute as to the con ¬ ditions for the first Mexican National Derby to be run hi 1910 It was decided by the directors a few days ago that nominations for the race should be limited to thoroughbred colts and filies foaled in the republic in 1907 Notice Jias been sent to breeders that they must register their foals on April SO nest but unless fifty colts and fillies foaled last year are entered in the thoroughbred stud book of Mexico on that date racing men win purchase foreignbred colts or fillies which will be eligible for the race If entered on or be ¬ fore December 1 1908 As Mexican breeding sharps say that seventytwo foals were dropped in 1907 it would seem to he an easy matter to have fifty registered or the Derby The race will be worth
