FRENCH COOKS MOUTH LIKE TROUBADOURS Lexington Ky June G The trouble with French Cook is a tender mouth said Colonel Milton Young on the way to Latonia Derby day He is a good horse and will prove it but not until the jockeys who ride him come to understand his weakness He has just such another mouth as had Troubadour and it was that Troubadour had a tender mouth that caused me to get him at a bargain and make a whole lot of money out of him I gave Mr SwI gert 2000 for Troubadour and he seemed glad to get rid of him at that price but the probabilities are that he thought a heap of things afterwards that he didnt tell anylwdy about Irt his running now French Cook acts very much as did Troubadour when he was a twoyearbid The slightest tension on his mouth when he is going a good pace will cause him to throw up his head and that nieans the loss of two or three lengths Then the boy will give him liis head again arrd he will make up that lost ground though sometimes too late Give me the horse always that can rim fast irr spots When you find out just what Is troubling him vou will almost certainly have a steady speedy racer V
