THOROUGHBREDS STILL IN DEMAND Lexington Ky July 31 Samuel A Beckham who lives in Greenville Texas and owns a string of stores in towns of the Lone Star State is here with a view to purchasing about twenty thorough ¬ breds of different ages from Colonel Milton Young Mr Beckham says there is a great future for rac ¬ ing in Texas and the southwest and it is his opin ¬ ion the wave of socalled reform has spent its force and that racing will be reestablished in this country on a better basis than it has ever known knownTwo Two dozen thoroughbreds of various ages were shipXd from here tonight to Fort Riley Texas They were purchased by Dick Wilson and were passed uixm by Lieutenant Elliott and Dr Plum mer and are intended for use in the oflicers school of the United States army Meteor armyMeteor the fouryearold brother to Uncle lias been presented to the Kentucky Breeding Bureau by Catesby Woodford and has been shipped to V F Boling at Campion Ky for service
