GOVERNOR HUGHES JUDGE MAKING READY New lork August f Preparations for the special term of the criminal branch of the Supreme Court to sit in Brooklyn on August 25 to hear the cases against the olliclals of the Brighton Beach Racing Association and others under arrest on charges of violating the new antigambling laws are already in progress progressJustice Justice Rogers of Watertown who was designated by the governor to hear the gambling eases has notified the commissioner of jurors of Kings county in summon a speolal panel of 100 jurors to compose the trial Jury JuryThe The commissioner also was instructed to summon a special grand jury to take up the race track cases Both of these juries will be organized on August 25 in accordance with the governors Instructions InstructionsJohn John It Stanchlield has been engaged as counsel in behalf of the indicted olllcials of the Brighton Beach Racing Association AssociationThe The legal situation made by Governor Hughes is considered most unusual by conservative lawyers Of course the governor can assign a Supreme Court justice from anywhere to sit at his direction but he does not name or assign the jury and lhat will be it New York jury
