BELMONT MAY INCREASE ENGLISH STABLE Saratoga N Y August 13 Three men at Sara ¬ toga who would be nearly certain to know about the alleged intention of Messrs J R Keene and August Belmont to race exclusively abroad say they know nothing of such a plan A J Joyner and Jolm Whalen both train for Mr Belmont and both said that they have never been consulted about such a plan There are at present in the care of these two men more that thirtyfive horses tlfe property of Mr Belmont Some of these will be sold perhaps this fall Whalen says but there will still be left fifteen or twenty horses which will represent Mr Belmont next year in this country If there is any place racedIn at which they can be raced In England Mr Belmont already has eight year ¬ lings and about twelve older horses in care of James Watson who also trains for Mr L de Roth ¬ schild It is possible horsemen said that the addi ¬ tion of twenty one yearlings sent to England on Sat ¬ urday last may so increase the number as to make it impossible for Watson to continue to train for Mr Belmont and in that contingency it might have become necessary to lease a place and some English trainer named by Watson would be appointed to bundle Mr Belinonts horses
