MORE ABOUT THE MICHIGAN TRACK Chicago Real Estate Folks More Interested in It Than Racing Men With reference to a meeting in Michigan near Chicago Walter Parmer of the northern racing circuit recently said I received a letter th closing day of the Windsor meeting from a Chicago real estate man which outlined a plan to build a race track in Michigan on a lake point near Chicago The party wanted me to take an interest In the ven ¬ ture and claimed that the promoters had plenty oC capital to carry out their plans successfully In case of my refusal to take an interest I was asked to assume charge at a liberal salary I thought so little Uic matter knowing how impractical it would be to operate n track in Michigan that t did not even answer the letter letterThe The letter further stated that Chicago race ¬ goers could IK taken to the track in an hour ami that the fare for the round trip would not cxciCl one dollar I doubt very much 1C this could b done and two hours for the journey would probably be much nearer the time timeMr Mr Parmer declines to give names or location
