HAPPENINGS IN THE BLUE GRASS. Lexington, Ky., Novetnlier 20. D. Shilling of Chicago sSiipped tonight to ins ranch at Arayo. Col., eighteen thoroughbred mares, twelve of them from tho Leonatus Stud, Harrodsburg. bought yesterday and today. They are to be used for the production of mules. H. V. Colt, of Geneseo, N Y.. arrived here this morning to buy thoroughbreds suitable for crosscountry racing and hunting. Irvin H. Wheatcroft today placed 5,000 insurance ou the following thoroughbreds: Cesarlou, Yorkshire Lad, Belle of Penzance, Carsonia, Chance Shot. Clyniena, Cosmo. Design. Embrace, English Money, Fatty, Fonsolette, Grove Queen, Helen Thomas, Mignon, Over. Stylish, Tasmania, Young Princess, Ora Bailey, Miss Sain. Alma Dufour. Elizabeth Hanvood. French Cook and Woolwinder. Jockey Tommy Steele, who lias lieen. ill In a hospital at Covington since the Latonia meeting, was brought home tonight.
