Voorhces drew out quickly and set the pace for five furlongs, but tired and was palpably short. Marion Rose ran forwardly in game contention throughout. High Private, after forward early contention, was crossed by the winner and knocked back, then came on into a fast going third. Ocean Queen was outpaced decisively. Bishop AV., away poorly, closed up considerable ground. Rose Queen was crowded out quickly and never dangerous afterwards. Angleface was outclassed. Scratched 7S5233Madman, 100; 75215 Middle, 95. Mike Asheim outbroke his opposition and set the early pace, then rellnquishedvhis,lead on the last, turn and seemed badly beaten, but came again and got up in the last stride for second place. Desirous, from a bad inside start, established herself in forward pursuit and went hopelessly wide on the turns, then drew, out in the stretch, but failpd at the end under an Inadequate finish. Trust, flatfooted at the start, closed a big gap in the last half. Burnell failed to stay. The .tilers were beaten off. Scratched 74315 Fordello. 109. Overweights Vronsky, 1 pound.
