INCREASING INTEREST AT SAN ANTONIO. San Antonio, Tex., December 17. The contemplated test of the Locke antl-hetting law in Louisiana was a general topic of conversation among horsemen here today, and they are fervently praying for the success of the racing interests. In that event the 350 horses now here wiil be shipped to the Crescent City to take part in the racing there. Whatever doubt existed heretofore regarding tlie success of the present racing venture was dispelled this afternoon when a crowd that filled the spacious plant to .overflowing was on hand. Speculation was also sharp and gave the twelve layers that drew in today plenty of opportunity to handle money. Partons victory in the feature race over Transform and other good youngsters was the surprise of the afternoon. The riding Eionors were again divided between jockeys Pickens and Butwell. each scoring a pair of brackets. Judge Murphv announced today that on December" 2! there -will be a race for cavalry horses to be ridden by officers Of Fort Sam Houston under full military equipment. Jockey Pendergast was today suspended for the meeting here for misuse of hisbadge privileges.
