MEELICK IN STUD AT HAMBURG PLACE Lexington Ky January IS John Madden has in ¬ stalled the fiveyearold Planudes stallion Meelick at Hamburg Place with Yankee Plaudit Ogden Planudes Migraine and The Scribe Meelick is out of the Tammany mare Ilithyia daughter of Isis and halfsister to Isidor He is accordingly a near relative of Hamburg Belle Ilithyia was the dam of several winners Connaiight Ranger and Illyria among them Mr Madden bred Meelick himself and he has an Idea that he will make good in the stud Meelick was raced by his breeder and by S C Hildreth and under their training he won the Great Eastern Handicap and Sapphire Stakes and Derbys at Oakland Los Angeles and Xew Orleans
