J 0 KEENES NEW VENTURE Lexington Ky January 24 John O Kecne ar ¬ rived here from California this morning and pur ¬ chased a half interest in sixteen horses raised at the Hartland Stud in Woodford County by Presldeirfc Johnson M Camdeu of the Kentucky Asociatiou The horses will run this year in the name of Oam den ff Keene The amount Involved in the trans ¬ action was not made public hut it is understood to lie in excess of 20000 Mr Keene who has always l leen een successful as a trainer in this country and in Russia as well will at once begin their prei aratiou for racing A plater will go to the farm tomorrow put shoes on each of the sixteen and they will be brought to the Kentucky Association track WednesdayThe here Wednesday The list is made up of the fouryearold Miami the threeyearolds Boola Boola Zulu Zoroaster and Mazariu and the following twoyearolds Bay filly by Mazagan Benita Brush chestnut colt by Bei Strome By Beauty bay colt by Mazagan Baby Lamb chestnut filly by St SImonian II Nuns Cloth chestnut colt by St Siinoniaii II Jane Eyre chestnut filly by Mazagau Amy J bay filly by Mazagan Bellegarde II chestnut colt by Kesolute II Sister Juliet chestnut colt by St Simonlan II Miss Finch bay colt by Mazagan Sweet Mar ¬ joram All are well engaged Boola Boola is sup ¬ posedly the best of the threeyearolds The young ¬ sters were broken by Will Overtoil lust fall and he says there are some real good prospects among them
