LEXINGTON MEETING TO BEGIN APRIL 30 Lexington Ky January 21 The directors of the Kentucky Association met today and decided to leave the matter of dales for the spring meeting here to the judgment of the State Kacing Commission The directors however decided that the meeting should cn on April 30 They were undecided not know ¬ ing the wishes of the New Louisville Jockey Club whether it would be best to raw seven days or ten days It was finally agreed that president J X Cam den be empowered to make application to the State Kacing Commission for either seven or ten days to begin April and to leave the decision as to the number of days to the discretion of the commission It was further decided that no purse of less than 3X will be offered and there will be some 500 overnight handicaps handicapsThe The stake races will consist of the Breeders Fu ¬ turity for twoyearolds to be run on the opening diiv and the Camden Handicap for threeyearolds which will come in the nature of a preliminary to the Kentucky Derby Kach of these stakes carries a consolation purse of 500 500Secretary Secretary Wilson was authorized to pav to the mion Trust Company of Pittsburg 21000 the bill an ire due on the 70or O for which the plant was bought the notes having been turned over to that company by the S S Brown estate This will bj done within the next day or two The association is now in better financial condition than it has ever been and a successful meeting or two will put it en tlrelv out of debt debtPan Pan Morris the Bourbon County trainer is prepar Iu to gather his horses together to ship them from xlngton to Douglas 1ark by the first of February He took up several twoyearolds at Lexington sev ril davs ago and will round up his other horses within the nest ten days Mr Morris will have a uunil r of promising youngsters m his string this season
