EDWABD COBBIGAN BUYS BACEB Louisville Ky February 5 D N Prewitt wus here this week and reported that he had soldto Ed ¬ ward Corrigau his Kentucky DerbViJandldate Ben K Sleet by Knight of the Thistle dam Golden Rod II The halfbrother to Silverdale is now quartered at the Tampa Fla track While the price paid for Ben K Sleet is private it is said to have been more than 2500 Mr Prewitt cauio here to ship in a trio of twoyearolds from Danville which will be handled for him by Walter Hopkins until trainer Joe Everman gets here from Jacksonville where the latter is racing for Mr Prewitt tiie good colt T M Green One of the youngsters he will ship here is a halfbrother to that good horse by the English stallion Sciutillant II The others are u tilly by Ormicant and a chestnut gelding by Cactus II out of Praise The halfbrother to T M GreenIs re ¬ garded as of much promise by Mr Prewitt though he had him gelded as a yearling It may be that the Corrigan green nd white sash will again figure us prominently as it did In the days when carried by such great horses as Freeland Belter Skelter Huron Lizzie Dwyer Riley Pearl Jennings and the brilliant Modesty the only filly winner of that muchprized race the Amer ¬ ican Derby
