PIMLICO TRAINEES GETTING READY Baltimore Md March 23 Until the horsemen be ¬ gin to come over from Benning there will not l e much doing at Pimlico Just now the track is in poor condition It lias not been liarrowed enough to get a good cushion and it is especially hard along the inner rail In a lew days however Superin ¬ tendent John Brcnuan promises to have it in con ¬ dition ditionOne One ol the busiest stables at the course is that of William Jennings the veteran Mouut AATashington liorsemah Mr Jennings has about a dozen In train ¬ ing in the care of his son AAilliam The star of the string Is the wellknown Compute horse Cave Ad suni Ho has wintered nicely and is not showing a bit of the lameness that he developed during last falls meeting here As usual the Jennings string will be taken over the Canadian circuit at the close of the local meeting Kyrat is the only other ma lure horse in training the rest of the Jennings racers Iwlng twoyearolds One of them is Mariner a chestnut colt by Chilton Sailors Delight DelightHarry Harry Rites Is beginning to give his horses a bit faster ivork Tim Pippin Scarus Hatteras and his tvyoyearolds ivere on the track yesterday but Rites did not let them go faster than a quarter Iiii 29 Jockey Charles Fairbrother wlio is under contract to Rites and is galloping his string cantered J J Faheys Jennie AVells and iLady Gay Spanker Reports from the AAalden Irani at Middleburg Md say that all of those trained l y Robert AAalden are about ready to nice and that lie will not ship to Pimlico until a week before the meeting opens All of the horses in the stable of George Boyle and George Elder are being given light work
