SARATOGA SPECIAL SUBSCRIPTIONS New York March 24 Two subscriptions were received yesterday for the Saratoga Special the sporting stake for twoyearolds to be decided at the August meeting These nominations came from It T Wilson Jr president of the Saratoga Racing Association and from II L Shaw Under the con ¬ ditions of the race each subscription entitles the naming of three one of whichmay be started The race is always a tremendously popular one and is calculated to bring the best twoyearolds in training together This vear the Saratoga Special carries with it 2500 In added money as well as the 2500 plate that is annually given making it a much more valuable race than it was last season It with the various other stakes to be decided at Saratoga will close March 2S and though it is usual witli horse ¬ men to delay their nominations until the eleventh liour already they are being received in the Windsor Arcade ollice of the association
