May 23. — The Claremont Handicap furnished a most exciting finish at Belmont Park lod.iv when H. G. Beilwells Bighteasy and B. T. Wilson. Jr. s Beaucoup fought it out for an eighth of a mile through the stretch to have Beaucoup the winner bv a head. Firestone, the favorite, was a beaienoff third after jockey Shilling had lieen unable to race him to the front iu the early stages.
