j j SALE OF TWO-YEAR-OLDS IN EAST. New York. June 15. —A bunch of two-.vear-old from the stable of H. 1. Whitney were semi at au -t ion in the Gravesend paddock Monday. -The sale was conducted by the F.isig-Tipt-.n Company, with George Bain the auctioneer, antl fair prices were sei ned. The offerings far the most part were young ■ten that had lieeii thoroughly tried, and it was a wc I ciing out of a table tliat was a bit cumbersome. In addition to the Whitney lot there were aCertega from the Silver P.rook Farm, while Captain K. B. Cassati anil W. L. Powers each contributed one. The top price- of the sale was oaiel lor Husky Lad. l.v F. D. Weir, representing J. E. Gaflney. who w.-nt to ,350 for the eott. Husky Lad is a chestnut gelding by Hermis --Braw Lass. This gelding has shown well in his ex.-rcises and the bidding was lively when be was led into the ring. The second best price of the sale was obtained by W. 1.. Powers for his filly Imprint, sold to James Fitzsininions for Si. 100. 8he is a bay or brow,, daagkter of Knight of the Thi.-tle Affect, of those trom the Silver P.rook Farm the best price was realised lor Miss Jonah, a daughter of Heno and Luckless, that went to Jule Garson for 25. Summertime, a filly by Riley — leisure, in the Whitney lot. was iMiuglit by S. C. Austin for 1910.sh25. and P. Dunne paid *45o tor Agility, a daughter of Ham burg and Monadour.
