NEW RULE IN EFFECT AT TORONTO. General Public Excluded from Woodbine Track During Hours Devoted to Training Operations. Toronto. Out., September 22. — The fall session of racing at Woodbine, which is scheduled to begin on Saturday, promises to be the greatest ever held by the Ontario Jockey Club. The horses lu re to participate iu the racing arc higher class than those of previous ST ■sons, many prominent New York owners Being represented. S. C. 1 1 i Meet h is expected to arrive with a division of his stable. The management has reserved a stable for the llildrelh horses and at the urgent request of the latter has refrained from allotting these stalls to others who have been anxious to come. The course was never in l etter condition mid never looked prettier than it does this fall. Everything is in readiness for the opening and all that is necessary to make the meeting a memorable one is jdeasant weather. W. S. Vosburgh will do the handicapping for the Ontario Jockey Club this fall. It will he his first season as an official on a Canadian track. Resides acting as baadieapper Mr. Vosbmrgh will be one of live stewards. Tin- other officials will be the same lis at last springs meeting. The chili lias inaugurated some new rules here this fall, one of which is that the course during the Banning boars shall he reserved for the use of horsemen and trainers. It had been the custom for people to lock to the track in the morning in such jiumhers as to swarm on the course itself. Accidents were narrowly averted and on complaint of the horsemen the association decided that it would lie lust to bar the general puhlic during the Morning. The new ruling includes the dockers, and the latter ari- loud in their complaints.
