Ky., September 23. — Catesby Woodfords Intrinsic, by running a mile and seventy yards Uiis afternoon in 1:442. established a new track record and captured the feature race of the card from a smart band of three-year-old filllies, including Ltliel D., Claudia and Handzaretta. Intrinsic anaa an overwhelming favorite and her supporters were anything but jubilant when Ethel 1. went into n five-lengths lead during the first three-quarters, but thereafter she lagged badly and Intrinsic came on to win as her rider pleased, Ethel D. barely lasting to save second place from the fast-eoming Claudia. The former track mark was 1:40, made by Irish Chief in 1888. Interesting sport developed this afternoon, though the fields in some instances wen. unwieldy and crowding was frequent.
