INNOVATIONS FOR JUAREZ El Paso Tex November 8 An innovation new at least to the racegoers of the southwest will be introduced at Juarez during the coming season as the board of stewards will be located in a cripola above the stand occupied by the presiding judges thereby enabling them to have a better view of the races than under the former arrangement Another feature that is particularly gratifying to the horse ¬ men Is the expeditious manner in which they are passed through the custom house on the Mexican side Heretofore a duty was levied on their horses as well as their tack This in addition to the ex IKIISL caused a vexatious delay amounting at times to ten hours This has been dispensed with and the only dntv now exacted is that on bedding and per ¬ sonal wearing apparel This reduces the delay to a maximum of not more than two hours hoursHorses Horses are arriving by every train Todays ar ¬ rivals included the stable of Sam Lazarus eighteen head R C Benson eleven S J Kelly from Oak ¬ land four and J Levy with three Mr Levy is a local owner of prominence and his addition to the ranks of the owners is welcome welcomeWord Word was received today that Barney Schreiber is planning to send here witli a select string the celebrated racer Jack Atkin and the wellknown Sager which will be handled by trainer Herman Brandt BrandtSecretary Secretary Davis will have the stake entries ready in a few days and announces that among the list are many of the most noted racers in the country
