LATONIA IS ALREADY DE8EETED Exodus of Horses to Winter Bacing Points Leaves Few at Covington Coarse Cincinnati O November 21 Lalonia track now presents a deserted appearance iu contrast to the bustle of the past month Sunday afternoon the big special for Jacksonville consisting of sixteen horse cars two sleepers and two day coaches departed trom Latonia and will land the horsemen and tbelr stock at the Florida metropolis tomorrow night The Pensacola special got away today and will reach its nightRumors destination tomorrow night Rumors were circulated yesterday that Tom Shaw dropped 15000 duriug his brief sojourn at the La touia track lasting a little over a week He de ¬ parted Saturday night for his homo in New Orleans His brother H L Shaw who lias been Campaigning Jack Atkiu for Barney Schreiber went with him Both will probably go to California after a brief rest in tbe Crescent City where they will visit rela ¬ tives Among the biggest winners were E R Brad ¬ ley and John Fay The latter it is said won many goodsized bets Mr Bradley returned yesterday to his Idle Hour Farm at Lexington wliere he will probably remain until time for his departure for Palm Beach Fla His extensive string of racers will be sent tomorrow to Juarez iu charge of f trainer William Hurley HurleyEugene Eugene EIrod who will have charge of the betting ring at Juarez left last night via Chicago with a party numbering nearly thirty Tliey will arrive iu El Paso Tuesday Mr EIrod announced that he had received many applications from book ¬ makers for positions in the Juarez betting ring and that the probabilities are that at least sixteen layers will do business on the opening day dayGossip Gossip as to the H G Bedwell case is to the effect that the horses of the blacklisted turfman will be restored to good standing for sale purposes at the next meeting of the Kentucky State Racing Commission Judge Price who put the ban on the racers will not interpose any objections to their re ¬ instatement should the commission see fitto restore them to good standing He likewise will not rec ¬ ommend their reinstatement reinstatementR R F Carmans string of racers were shipped to Belinont Park today to go into winter quarters with the remainder of the Carman horses horsesR R H Harris who will train the horses owned by Irving H Wheatcroft left yesterday for a brief visit to his farm in Shelbyvllle County Missouri before going to Juarez to take up his duties He expects to go along slowly with the muchtouted King Broomstick If the Wheatcroft yearlings show the form expected of them they will be shipped to New York after the Juarez meeting and engage In early stake racing on the metropolitan tracks
