GETTING READY FOR TAMPA OPENING Tampa Fla December 21 One hundred horses are now stabled at the Tampa track awaiting the opening of the midwinter meeting January 2 New arrivals are noted daily and never were the prospects for a local meeting brighter This is largely due to the unusual number of visitors now in this section and to the great increase in the number of winter residents who have established themselves iu Tampa and vicinity for the entire season seasonArrangements Arrangements have been made by which the earner Morgan will call at Pensacola December 2 ° en route from New Orleans to Tampa and take o the horses now racing at Pensacola that will race at the south Florida track The run will be made here from Pensacola in nineteen hours It is prob ¬ able that the thirty days of spring racing scheduled for Pensacola will be transferred to the Tampa track making iu all ninety days of racing here The purses at the outset of the meeting will be of 200 250 and 00 value
