HORSEMEN NOT SORRY TO LEAVE Pvnsacola Fla December 20 Only two more days of tlie scheduled period remain for horsemen here and there will be little grief when moving day comes on the part of the horsemen who have en ¬ gaged in tlie racing here How the management ever conceived the idea that Pensacola would sup ¬ port a thirtydays meeting passes understanding One turf follower sized up the situation when he remarked A race mteting here is twenty years ahead of the citys growth Pensacola Is grow ¬ ing but for the present cannot successfully handle any racing except of a matinee character characterThe The losses sustained here by tlie management have been slight as race track losses go but the aggra ¬ vating feature lies in the fact that there is no likelihood of getting any part of it back Previous plans for a thirtydays spring meeting have been discarded discardedThe The next few days will find the horsemen busy arranging for the transfer of their horses to Tampa Fla where the sixtydays meeting will begin Janu ¬ ary 2 In all about 400 horses will be shipped to the west coast track The special train leaving here next Thursday will take away most of the consign ¬ ment and the balance will follow by steamer leaving here next Saturday SaturdayAccording According to present prospects there will be a scarcity of twoyearolds during tlie early days at Tampa but this will probably be remedied by arrivals later The program book for the Initial seven days is in the hands of the printer and will be ready for distribution on Wednesday
