SENATOR BRACKETT ENTERS A DENIAL. Albany, N. V.. April II. .Minority leader Brack ett denies stories to the effect, that he is preparing a bill providing for the appointment by the governor of special officers to patrol race track grounds, and thus nullify tlie directors liability law. "I havent prepared such a bill and I have no such plan in contemplation," he said. It is understood that the racing interests did not regard with favor the idea of a bill that would shirt tlie responsibility for betting on race tracks from tlie directors to a corps of special officers to be appointed by tlie governor. The race truck men believe that tlie directors liability law can be equally repealed in the interests of the state and county fairs as well as the racing associations, the other anti-betting laws being sufficiently strong to prevent publie gambling.
