HORSEMEN ASK RELIEF ON RATES. Frankfort. Ky.. June 10. — Complaints have been filed with ihe Kentucky Railroad Commission by thoroughbred owners against rates charged in handling bases between Louisville and Latonia. The complain! was lied In the names of e. K. Bradley, John T. Ireland and Irving II. Wheatcroft. but is in behalf of horsemen generally. They allege that the freight rate on a car of horses between Louisville and Latonia is f87.50, with Kio additional for the car and 83 for bedding. The horsemen are compelled to sign a release of valuation tier horse lor 09. The complainants recite that *100 is the valuation per common horse and that the rate charged per car for common horses from Louisville to Latonia is but 820. It is also recited that freight rates on carloads of horses from Louisville to Hast St. Louis are etpially exorbitant.
