Watervale. showed a splendid performance at tort Erie this afternoon when lie won the mile and an eighth handicap in l:50jj. whieh marked a new Canadian record for the distance. The time was within two fifths of a second of Vox Pmlii American record made at Santa Anita in 1908. Watervale carried 112 pounds, made all of his own pace and won pulled up. with E.
