GOOD PATRONAGE FOR CLOSING DAYS. Attendance at Lagoon Increases as Meeting Draws Near Its End — Some Horses Change Hands. Salt Lake City. Ttah, July IS.— As the Lagoon meeting draws to a close the attendance is increasing daily. Ihe besi mid-week crowd of the season was present today. A handicap at the and one half furlongs was the principal race of the afternoon and was generally conceded to the Bedwell entry, al though styles OOonnell, as a result of his recent consistent performances, did not lack for support. After indulging Terns THek with the lead styles OConnell gradually wore the leader down in a hard stretch drive and drew clear to win in handy fash-ton.
