KENTUCKY DATES SELECTED FALL RACING IN BLUE GRASS STATE TO BEGIN AT -LEXINGTON SEPTEMBER 14. Sport to Continue for Fifty-One Days with Close at Latonia November 11 Endurance Race for Louisville Move Against Poolrooms, Lexington, Ky., August 10. The Kentucky State Racing Commission met here today and allotted dates for fifty-one days of fall racing in Kentucky as follows: Kentucky Association. Lexington. Thursday, Sep-teinlier 14 lo Saturday, September 23; nine days. New Louisville Jockey Club, Louisville, Monday, September 25 to Saturday, October 14; eighteen days. I.atonia Jockey Club. Latonia. .Monday, October 10 to Saturday, November 11; twenty-four days. President Catesby Woodford of the Kentucky Association, General Manager Matt J. Winn of the Louisville Jockey Club, and General Manager John Hachiueister of the Latonia Jockey Club, appeared before the commission witli the statement that they had come to an agreement 011 this schedule as being to the best interest of horsemen and track owners generally and they recommended the sanction of the commission, which was readily given. It was agreed that the Kentucky Endurance Gold Cup Race of four milps, with a value of 2,000, shall be run at ixiuisville, the date to be fixed by the New Louisville Jockey Club. The rule presented at a previous meeting providing that the added money to purses shall be the same in the fall as in the spring, was adopted. Two new rules that will lay over for thirty days were presented. One stipulates that onlv the pari-mutuel system or betting shall be employed at the tracks, thus doing away witli auction pools. The other requires that all telephone and telegraph wires over which racing news might be disseminated, be removed from the grounds. This is intended to pro-vent the distribution of information to handbooks and poolrooms.
