* + AMERICAN RUMG RECORDS REVISED TO DATE 4* + The racing of llll was productive of the usual anaahet of now American records. The records that wore reamanfi during the year included those for three and a half furlongs, sac mile ami iwetity yards, one mile and atxty yards, one mile and seventy yards, one mile and three -sixteenths and four miles. Ucsides. the records for a ball mile, three-quarters of a mile and one mile anil a Sixteenth wore cameled. The new record for three ami a half furlongs is :i.-- and was made by I . A. Trammells Calisse at Jaatca, January 17. The former record v as 40, held jointly by A. J. Small, Donau and The Royal Prince and dating back to January .,0. IMP, at Santa Anita track. At Churchill Downs, Octaher o. R. F. Carmans Colonel Aanaaaaaua made a now- record of H% for one mile and twenty yards, which supplanted the record of 1:39%, made by J. II. Reed at the same course May ut. 1910. The record for one mile and sixty yards was twice reduced during the year. At Iltnlico, May 4. August Belmonta PrmcQllaa ran the distance in 1:43%, supplanting the record of 1:4.1%, to the credit of Demurrer at Benning. November 12. 11KH. A few days later, at the same track. Watervale, also from the Belmont -table, further reduced the record for the distance to 1:42--. Raleigh Col-tons Pi hate Be Callaway made a new record of 1:42 for one mile and seventy yards at La-i ah, October 27. which reduced the former record by one-fifth of a second. The record which was supplanted had originally been made by Bubbling Water at Oakland, November 30, 1910. and afterwards had been eanaUedj by Plate »;lass at Tort Erie. The former record of 7:li had been made by Big Bow at Oakland, March 14. 1MB, E. iayloriTs Anion, at Juarez. February 9. equaled the record of 4B%, held by Donau for a half mile. At Hamilton. June 19. August Belmonts Priscilllaa equaled the record of 1:11 for three-quarters of a mile, held jointly by Channltcpec and Prince Ahmed, and on July ." . at Fort Erie. August Belmonts Trap Rock equaled Oretaa Greens record of 1:43% for one mile and a sixteenth.
