MR. K0HLER WELCOMED IN ENGLAND. London, Bag., January 25. — Charles Kohler. tii ■ American race horse owner, who recently purchased S. C. Hildreths stable of higbclasa thoroughbred-, is still here. Much satisfaction has been express .1 here in racing circles over the decision of Mr. Kohler to race here permanently. Since his arrival Mr. Kohler has been busy looking for suitable trailing quarters at Newmarket, to be in readiness for the hi rses when they arrive in March. Arrangements have been made for Mr. HildretU to act as trainer for Mr. Kohler. He will have a breeding establishment in France, but docs not intend racing in that country. "My intention is onlv to race in England." said Mr. Kohler. ••and use thr? French Stud farm for the purpose of adding to and replenishing my racing string, l shall not be averse to buying a good race horse, if suitable. Perhaps the chief reason far locating a breeding stud across the channel is that horses bred In France are eligible to be entered In races there as well as in England. I would far sooner win I small race with a horse which I bred myself than an important one with one that I had bought. I am not a tietting man. my Investments being only occasional and of a nominal character."
