El Paso, Tex., February 1.— There was no racing Bt Juarez this afternoon as a result of an uprising of the Juarez garrison la-t night. The interns tional bridges are guarded and no one from B Paso wa- allowed to enter the disturbed city today, it is expected that order will be restored by tomorrow, when racing will l»e resumed. The entries carded for today Will stand f..r Friday. No damage ha- been done t.. the racing plant of tin- Juarez Jockey Club, and all the horses are safe. There was no communication except by phone l tin- track today. If the situation i- cleared up aaf- ticieiitly to allow the resumption of the aport in. now. there will be racing at Jnarea on M n day to make up fir the lost day. Considerable anxiety was felt by many USIBUUI who reside iu Ki Pasa as i their horses, but upon receiving word from tin- course that there wa-. hi trouble there and that none is anticipated, th y w.re -non pacific d. General Mariner Winn expressed confidence this afternoon that tin- trouble would be settled . t- factoriiy at once.
